The large and versatile function room at The Nevill of Hove is ready to handle any occasion, from birthday celebrations to weddings, wakes to business lunches. We can cater for events from 30 to 120 guests.
The fully manned private bar is ready to serve you and your guests throughout your booking, and if you’d prefer a more personal touch we can provide full catering.
We’ve got great relationships with local DJs as well, so you can feel free to leave your evening’s entertainment in our capable hands!

Friendly local with great pub food.
Went there today for a family lunch, we were advised that this pub was good for children which was handy as as our group included my young grandchildren. I have to say I don’t normally do reviews for pubs, however we had such a good afternoon that I thought I would change my habit! The food/drinks were very good value for money, but what really made the day was brilliant friendly service by the bar staff. They have a good choice of food on the menu but we all went for the Sunday Roast, never seen Yorkshire puds so big, and overall great vfm! Thanks for a great afternoon!

Had my works Xmas do and was struggling with a suitable venue. I was recommended by a friend to contact the Nevill Pub for availability. I was unsure exactly how many were coming and the amount of food I would need. When I viewed the function room I was delighted with size and the amenities it offered. The manager discussed in length the menu choice and also on my request arranged a DJ which saved so much hassle. I decided to decorate the room although there were pretty lights and tree already set up very festive. I can’t thank the staff enough for the time and help they gave me and would definitely recommend not just the food but the venue.
Amazing roasts and service for my birthday.
My family gave me a surprise birthday party in the function room, and The Nevill provided 23 lovely roast dinners Including pork belly, chicken and beef, well impressed, Sean was really helpful and friendly as were the bar staff and chef. Many thanks for a wonderful day.

Friendly local with great pub food.
Today we found a gem of a pub with a lovely atmosphere. It wasn’t busy but there seemed to be a good friendly vibe and our children were welcomed in. We were served by a brilliant barmaid called Sam who went out of her way to make sure we were greeted and served with a smile- nothing was too much trouble.
I’d definitely recommend The Nevill and we’ll return again soon.

Our private hire function room comes complete with a fully stocked bar and your own personal bar staff for your event. In addition to your own bar you also have access to our garden, your own facilities and free parking for your guests. Private hire is available from midday to midnight!
